There is a lot of stuff going on in the world today and maintaining balance is necessary for all of us. I for one I am feeling the need to stay balanced in my personal and work life. The energies over the past several months with the ongoing solar flares, the passage of our planet through a photon area of our galaxy that has more light than has been available to the planet in thousands of years have brought about different and in many ways more turbulent energies.
With this surge in turbulent energy around each of us as individuals it is important to be ale to adapt to changes and shift accordingly. That is often easier said than done.
If you are someone who is constantly on the move it is a good time to slow down and contemplate where you are in your life versus where you would like to be. Alternatively, if you are someone who is an introvert it is important for you to step out of your comfort zone and embrace being in a place where more action options are being presented to you. Which ever space you tend to occupy it is important for you to take heed and take the appropriate steps to either slow down or step up your game.
A good way to begin to look at what needs to occur for you is to address the distinction between service and responsibility. Service to others is really why we are all here. A good way to discern if you your activities are done out of service or responsibility is to check into how you feel during or after engaging with others. Feeling good and energized is an indicator of service. Feeling drained and debilitated is a sign of taking something on from of a sense of responsibility. Having determined how you feel you can change your point of view about engaging with someone or doing things from a sense of responsibility or decide to not do it. You always have a choice – that is especially important to remember when you feel stuck or like you have to do something.
Balance in relationships is central to maintaining your own identity. Take the time to increase your awareness of relationships in your life – those that support you and those that do not. Are you someone who takes on other people’s issues and then suffers physically with digestion or other health issues? To thrive in life requires that each of us practices self care including putting ourselves in the picture instead of looking after everyone else first.
The notion of balance is important now as people are facing greater challenges in terms of changing systems involving governments and institutions such as health care, education, and even financial systems. With the shifts that are going on it is up to each of us to balance ourselves as we navigate an uncertain future. Now is a great time to leave the past behind and focus on the changes that are occurring around us. Being able to shift and adapt now is essential to having the lives we desire.
