Wisdom has more than one aspect within its sphere. The overarching domain of wisdom is that it is feminine. The qualities of wisdom that are the focus for this writing involve nurturing, cooperation, and connection to nature.
When it comes to nurturing – wisdom is present in that all of creation is held within its development. To embody nurturing is to know that as the giver of life the feminine is also the catalyst for the transformation of what no longer serves to a model that unifies people across boundaries, cultures, and gender. Currently the world is undergoing a paradigm shift from one of limited consciousness to one of growing consciousness. This shift is a result of the awakening of feminine wisdom that has been suppressed for thousands of years.
Wisdom is grounded in cooperation not in conquering, ravaging, or war. Living in cooperation is to be accepting of others as they are. Cooperation is based on the sharing of resources. It includes moderation and eliminates over consumption and waste. To cooperate is to ensure that the needs of all are met. These needs include access to water, food, shelter, clothing, and all things required to live a full life. Cooperation involves living and being a part of community whether that be local, national, or global. It is supportive focusing on finding common ground and working from that solid foundation.
Inherent to wisdom is a connection to nature. Recognition that all life, all forms, and natural structures such a mountains, rivers, oceans, the earth’s atmosphere – are all interconnected and inter-dependent on one another. Cataclysmic climate events tend to mirror catastrophic events involving people and animals. To lessen the impact of catastrophe requires honouring the connection to nature and to treat life in all of its forms with respect and even reverence. On a practical level that looks like improved treatment of women, children, and men, of animal husbandry, of wildlife, of natural resources such as water and oceans, and continents.
To be inherently wise is to be aware of our surroundings and the impact our own lives have on the earth and its resources.
To become aware requires deliberate intention and focus. A wonderful way to do that is through the practice of meditation and turning within. To learn more about meditation and its benefits sign up for my newsletter and receive a download to a mediation guide.
All the best,
